Be a Part of Naval History

Patrolling waters worldwide, the U.S. Navy’s submarine force keeps our nation and every one of our citizens safe.  One of the next submarines to join the fleet, named after the state of Washington, is the USS Washington – a Virginia-class attack submarine. It is a nuclear powered, fast attack submarine designed to operate in shallow coastal regions while maintaining the capacity for open ocean submarine warfare.

The Washington State Councils of the Navy League of the United States take great pride in supporting the Navy in bringing PCU Washington (SSN 787) into the Fleet in early 2017. The time honored tradition of Commissioning a boat includes several special events that surround the actual ceremony itself. Our nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization incorporated in Washington State allows the citizenry at large to contribute to the efforts that are not funded by the Department of Defense. These contributions are tax deductible in accordance with State and Federal laws.
